Dar Essalam American School opened its doors on September 1, 2022, with a clear mission: to provide high-quality international education that meets the highest standards. Accreditation is a key step in our commitment to excellence.
As with all international schools seeking accreditation from one of the six major U.S. accrediting organizations, this rigorous process begins after the school has been in operation for 1.5 to 2 years. DAS has officially submitted its initial application to NEASC, The New England Association of Schools and Colleges, an independent, non-profit organization that provides accreditation services for educational institutions. DAS has moved forward with the preliminary visits and is advancing through the rigorous process during the 2024-2025 academic year. The school is on track to obtain NEASC accreditation by mid-year 2026.
In collaboration with International Schools Services and Lumo, DAS has embedded the requirements for accreditation directly into its curriculum, educational programs, and governance structure. These efforts ensure that its students receive an education aligned with the highest international standards while supporting their academic, social, and personal growth.
